I'll be up front: I'm hoping you'll join me in supporting a virtual fundraiser to benefit Bay Area breast cancer patients.

I've been a long-time supporter of HERS Breast Cancer Foundation because 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed in her lifetime. The diagnosis rate is high and so is the emotional and financial cost of the disease.

Like HERS, I believe that all patients, regardless of financial status, deserve access to post-surgical products that facilitate physical and emotional healing.

HERS is on track this year to provide over $180K in products to low income and under-insured patients through their Assistance Programs. HERS grant writing and fundraising, including their annual Walk/Run, make these programs possible.

Sponsoring this year's Walk/Run will help us reach our $60K fundraising goal -- funds that could help as many as 400 under-served patients.

Sponsorship levels start at just $250 and the benefits are significant! The event typically attracts as many as 600 diverse participants each year, and you'll have exposure on the HERS website, social media platforms, plus during the September 26th Facebook Live kickoff with KTVU Fox 2's Heather Holmes.
